🌞 The Summer of Edvard Munch — Challenge #2
🎨 Mood Of The Day Challenge
Yesterday we started with One Line Day — today we dive deeper!
Prompt:
Choose a painting by Edvard Munch (any, not just The Scream!) and translate its mood into your own drawing.
Don’t copy the subject — copy the feeling.
How to play:
- Spend a few minutes looking at your chosen painting.
- Notice the colors, the brushstrokes, the composition.
- Ask: What does this painting feel like in my body? (tension, calm, longing, fear?)
- Draw something entirely different — a person, a tree, a city street — but let Munch’s interpretation of emotion guide your choices.
Goal:
Learn to use color, shape, and motion to express emotion like Munch did — and discover your own emotional “fingerprint” in the process.

🖌️ Example Prompts for Inspiration:
- A Munch-style sunrise
- A goat portrait in the style of Munch
- A stormy night with Munch’s energy
- A crowded market street but with Munch’s colors
